To all the amazing couples out there looking for their dream venue!!We decided to list all our favourite Sydney Venues that we love and have worked with since we started our business over 10 years ago. As a Sydney Wedding Planner we felt it was important to share our wealth of knowledge with you so it would make you wedding planning as smooth as possible. Our Favourite Wedding Venues in the North Shore

Sergeants Mess – This incredible venue is located in the beautiful national park area of Mosman,Chowder Bay and has sweeping views of Sydney Harbour. It has a beautiful tiered ceremony location onsite overlooking the harbour as an added bonus. You could also hold your ceremony in their 1920 inspired bar area or dramatic foyer. The team at Sergeants Mess are fantastic to work and very detailed oriented. Fun Fact I really wanted to get married there myself but sadly the venue only opened the following year after I was married. Photos by Cavanagh Photography

Gunners Barracks – Gunner Barracks is also located in the National Parkland in Mosman. It has an old world charm with Modern Elements. The venue features some beautiful chandeliers and has 3 ceremony options to choose from: the Sandsone Courtyard, The Harbour Terrace as well as the HarbourView Lawn located below the venue. Gunner Barracks has an incredible menu on offer to their clients –they even customized a 7-course degustation for our couple from Moscow. They are extremely accommodating and wonderful to work with. Fun Fact: I actually had my own baby shower at the venue as the high tea at the venue is the best in Sydney!! Photos by GM Photographics

Athol Hall – Athol Hall is a relaxed heritage-style venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, all in one perfect location. Host your perfect ceremony on the lawn, capture stunning moments with a private photoshoot on Athol Beach, and enjoy a delicious meal that brings everyone together –before taking to the dance floor to create even more memories.

Taronga Zoo – Couples are often surprised that Taronga Zoo offers weddings!! It is fantastic location and I feel it has one of the best views of Sydney Harbour. They have gone under a full refurbishment and added it’s own onsite hotel as well as new Gili Roof Top Retreat with picturesque views of the harbour. Fun Fact I did my first client’s wedding of my career at Taronga Zoo (16 years ago) and so it holds a special place in my heart. Photos by Inlighten Photography

Long Reef Golf Club – Long Reef has beautiful sea views with a stunning lawn for your ceremony and Terrace that wraps around the main reception room. The Team at Long Reef are wonderful to work with and have a variety of packages to suit people budgets and style. Fun Fact we did a beautiful wedding at Long Reef and wrapped it in Fairy lights and It just looked magical. Photography by the Fabled Florette.

Curzon Hall – If you are after a fairytale location then Cruzon Hall is the one for you. The castle like venue has the option of old world charm with stunning chandeliers in the main building in the Banquet Room and modern clean lines in the new addition to the venue Lady Mary Pavilion. They also have 3 beautiful ceremony locations on sight to choose from – The Enchanted Garden, Eternal Garden and Garden Chateau. Fun Fact – For one of the wedding we have held at Curzon Hall we organised a horse drawn carriage for our bride to complete her fairytale experience!! Photos by GM Photographics

Our Favourite Wedding Venues in the City

Quay Restaurant – Quay Restaurant is one of my favourite restaurants to hold wedding in –you can have the ceremony on the Balcony overlooking the opera house. You can take over the entire restaurant or opt for the green room which is located above the restaurant –this has the most incredible views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Fun Fact: As it located in the oversea passenger terminal make sure no cruise liner is in port at the time of your wedding as this blocks your venue to the opera house. In the past we have arranged for canapés to start at the venue when the cruise liner is pulling out so the guest can watch it float away. Photos by Matt Reed Photography

Pier One Sydney Harbour Hotel – Pier One is one of my favouritehotels to do weddings at –they have a number of ceremony and reception venues onsite to choose from. My favourite ceremony spot is the Wharf as it has beautiful views of Sydney harbour and the bridge. The Wharf is located next to my favourite room,the Water Room,with floor to ceiling windows and very high ceilings complete with rigging so you can do some incredible ceiling installations!! Fun Fact: back in the day the wharf had a concretefloor and so in order to create a garden we fully turfed the wharf for one of our weddings. The Venue loved the Wharf Turfed so much that they continued to turf it to this day saving couples around $3000 in turf costs.Photos by Siempre Photography

QVB Tea Rooms – are a beautiful ornate venue located in heart of Sydney CBD. They have the most stunning chandeliers in the venue. If you love a fantastic High Tea (like I do) make sure you pop into the Tea Room during the week. Fun Fact: Back in 2014 my university, The Blue Mountains Hotel Management School, awarded me the Business Achievement awards for all my work in wedding industry and the ceremony where I accepted the award was held at the QVB Tea Rooms!! Park Hyatt – is high-end boutique hotel overlooking the bridge and Harbour Bridge. After closing for a huge renovation where they added an additional floor to the hotel to house their new super suites they created two beautiful wedding spaces–the Guest House and The Gallery. The Guest House has harbour views with an exclusive Terrace, which is perfect for a ceremony. Fun Fact: one of beautiful couples had their reception in the Gallery and so we created an indoor garden inside the room for them. Photos by Inlighten Photography
